Grow and Learn Preschool Marks 20 Years of Serving Queen Creek Families with Excellence in Early Childhood Education
A beloved community institution is celebrating a major milestone this year. Grow and Learn Preschool, located in the heart of Queen Creek on San Tan Boulevard, is commemorating 20 years of shaping young learners and supporting local families through high-quality early childhood education. Since its opening, the school has helped thousands of children build confidence, develop foundational academic skills, and foster positive social-emotional growth.
And over the years, their philosophy has remained unchanged: “School & Fun Rolled Into One”.
A local Family-owned Preschool, delivering Excellence in Early Childhood Education
Founded in 2005, Grow and Learn Preschool began as a two-classroom program dedicated to providing a caring and structured learning environment for local children. Today, it stands as one of the area’s most trusted preschools — well-known for its passionate teachers, developmental learning approach, and strong family partnerships rooted in community values. Besides, throughout its history, the preschool has always been locally and family owned.
“We truly consider every family a part of our own”, said Ms Charlotte, Owner of Grow and Learn Preschool. “Reaching twenty years is a celebration not just for us, but for every child and parent who has helped make this school what it is. We’re honored to have supported so many children right here in Queen Creek as they take their first steps into education.”
“Our 20th anniversary is a celebration of the children, families, and staff who have been part of our story,” added Ms Shawntal, Director of Grow and Learn Preschool. “We are honored to have earned the trust of our community for so many years, and we look forward to continuing our work of helping young learners thrive.”
The Preschool, that recently got highlighted as Best Preschool in Arizona, has embraced innovative teaching practices and hands-on learning curriculum designed to support the whole child. With programs that emphasize language development, early literacy, STEM exploration, creative arts, and social skills — ensuring that students are well-prepared for kindergarten and beyond.
Renovation and Expansion
The facility went through an interior renovation in 2024, which included a floor upgrade, repainting most walls and the addition of many toys for sensory, touch and fine motor skills development.
Then, with the recent population surge in the East Valley, Grow and Learn Preschool faced an unprecedented demand for new enrolments. “That’s why we decided to expand, while keeping small class sizes and a true home-feeling”, added Ms Charlotte. Two new classrooms opened up in early 2025, which enabled Grow and Learn Preschool to offer more age-specific and intimate classrooms, with a classroom dedicated to 1-year-olds and another one to 1.5-year-olds.
Kindergarten readiness: a Curriculum aligned with local School Districts
Lately, Grow and Learn Preschool also adopted key principles from the Fundations® Curriculum in to reinforce its teaching philosophy and stand out as one of the highest quality educational programs in the East Valley. “This aligns our Grow and Learn Preschool’s curriculum with what Queen Creek Unified School District, Chandler Unified School District, Florence Unified School District and others primarily teach in kindergarten through second grade” said Ms Shawntal. This multi-sensory, hands-on program uses repetition and feedback to help students with phonics, phonemic awareness, and other reading and writing skills, and it includes materials like letter tiles for reinforcing skills.
“We’re grateful for the trust this community has placed in us over the years,” added Ms charlotte. “As we look forward to the next 20 years, our focus remains the same — creating a loving place where children can discover their strengths and develop a lifelong love of learning.”
